Zoe Joiner - Parent Governor
My name is Zoe Joiner and I currently have 3 children at Glory Farm school. I’ve always been passionate about education and learning and I believe all children deserve a good education. I feel that primary school is the perfect place to encourage children to foster a lifelong love of learning and if a school is the best it can be, then in turn, the pupils will be the best they can be. That is why governance appealed to me. It felt like a way for me to help achieve this without working in a school and I love it. I’ve learnt so much about things I’d never considered before and I would wholeheartedly encourage anyone to consider it.
Jane Ward - Trust Governor
I have been a Geography teacher for over 18 years and joined The Cooper School in 2017. I have recently been promoted to head of department and have an excellent background in education. I have two children who are currently at Glory Farm School and have lived in Bicester for 14 years. I have previously been a trustee for a local preschool and am keen to bring my skills to this new role. I will be the link governor responsible for monitoring the use of Pupil Premium and Sports Premium.
Steven Hazell - Trust Governor
I have been working as a Health and Safety Professional and Consultant for over five years which has given me the benefit of working with a wide range of different industries. Some of my fondest experiences have been working within the education sector including work at the University of Liverpool, Birmingham's King Edwards VII Schools and the Orchard Hill College Academy Trust. Helping create a safe and secure environment for children to learn and grow is immensely rewarding because in many cases, my work is playing a significant role in enabling them to improve, learn new skills and make life-long friendships in a place they will not forget. In my career, I specialise in helping organisations redesign their health and safety management systems so they can meet their operational needs, improve workplace culture, and realise their potential for change.
