Bicester Blue Fins - Well Done Charlie & Madison! 29th June 2022

Charlie has been attending blue fins for a while and has just recently been promoted to academy 2 and whilst he isn’t quite old enough or at a stage to compete, he is really looking forward to it and has inspired his sister to join!

Madison joined in October last year and has since progressed to a stage where she is eligible to compete.

She took part in 2 events at the Milton Keynes Spring meet in May and enjoyed it so much that this weekend she took part in seven events at the Christine Rennie memorial meet in Aylesbury.

It was a long weekend and her brothers went to watch and cheer her on during the Sunday event.

She got times in all seven events, which is an achievement in itself, she made great improvements on her times from her previous 2 races. She was very brave in putting herself forward for some really hard events, which not many 10 year olds do and which saw her rewarded with a silver medal for her 200m breaststroke.

Madison was also complimented on her conduct and attitude poolside.

Madison says she not only loves the actual swimming but she has made some brilliant friends and especially loves cheering on her teammates!

Their mum and dad are very proud of them both, as are all at Glory Farm!

If you think you think your child may interested in trying out, the only requirements to join are to able to swim 25m Front Crawl, Breast Stroke and Backstroke and have an understanding of dolphin kick, then please email: bbf.squads@gmail.

We as a school are exceptionally proud of Sophie in Year 1 who took part in her Aerial showcase at The Just Dance Company on Sunday 15th May.

Well Done Scarlett-Rose!

Well done to Scarlett-Rose in Year 3 who swam 100m as part of her swimming lessons last week. This is a huge achievement! As part of the National Curriculum, it is expected that a child in Year 6 will be able to swim 25m - Scarlett-Rose is only 7 years old and has met that target already. We are very proud of you!

Well Done Tom!

Many congratulations to Tom N who was awarded with a special trophy for discipline at the end of the rugby season by the manager of his team. Tom currently plays for Bicester Rugby Club. Tom spoke to Mrs MacLachlan and was so proud of his award - as are we! Well done Tom. He is also very knowledgeable about the game and quite often researches this in his spare time. Keep playing Tom!

Well Done Kayden!

We are very proud of Kayden in Year 4 who has been selected to play for Thame Utd (under 10s) next season. Kayden is currently training with them twice a week and will be a part of the team during the summer tournaments. Thame Utd are currently in the Junior Premier League. When asked, Kayden said that he was very 'happy' to be selected and couldn't stop smiling! It is always wonderful to hear about the achievements of Glory Farm children outside of school. Well done Kayden! We know that Mum and Dad are thrilled too and very proud.
